Be glad you've got a Volvo!!!

My daughter #1 needed a cheap car fast last week so I ended up getting her an '85 Honda Accord with only 134,000 miles on it. (no Volvos available at this time). It's not exactly a pice of junk but what a nightmare to work on. It has a 3-barrel carb, and about 40 miles of vacuum tubing under the hood to connect I don't know how many sensors, valves, etc.

I wanted to replace the water pump because of a small leak. After deciding that it was similar to replacing the Volvo heater blower motor, I decided to wait and see if it got worse. Besides having to move lots of that plumbing, you have to unscrew bolts using the tips of your fingers, remove the alternator belt on an invisible alternator, and, when you thought you were home free, you find the lower timing belt cover has to come off which means the crank pully has to come off with only a half inch space for the puller. I'm sure there is a way to do it but I don't want to know it.

After this I went over and kissed my 240.
