I know that Airsept sells the kit with the insertion tool. Maybe finding a local guy who already has the kit to install this in the suction line would be cheaper and easier than buying the kit.

You are dedicated! I've always thought that just leaving the compressor oil in there until the wear particles accumulate to cause a failure would not be a good idea. I think, though, that much of the oil ends up in the receiver dryer, and how you would flush this would be a real question. The question goes beyond my skill set, and I'd like to hear what an a/c guy says about it. All I know is that nobody does it unless the system has has to be opened for a repair.
