Long story short:
All the wheel bolts are damaged on one side of the the rear of my car.
I'm trying to remove the hub assembly so I can take it and have the old bolts pressed out and new ones pressed in.
There are two bolts on the backside of the splash guard that have been removed but the hub won't come out.
After reading (finally looked at the instructions) Chilton's and Haynes but as usual they somewhat don't agree and aren't clear to begin with.
Now the questions:
Do I only have to remove 4 bolts accessed through a hole in the hub in the area or the parking brake shoes?
What size are they?
Once the bolts are removed, do I just tug and work the hub and axle out of the shaft?
If I take the whole thing out, do I need to other things like repacking the bearings for instance?
Thanks for your help and if there is anything else you might think would help, let me know. After taking a hiatus from working on my own car (I could afford a real mechanic namely) I'm back to trying to be a DIY.
