Yes my car is an '87 and the hole is before the joint the the cat. I didn't have time to look if there were two pipes into one but I will in the morning. I would assume that the O2 sensor has wires connected to it and I did not see anything hanging. Thanks again for the info. I will probably be getting a new pipe and fixing it on my days off.
