I assume that you tried to start it after BlockBuster, right? What happened, in detail. Did the engine turn over at all? No turnover, just a click? Not a sound? While you were in BB did you leave anything turned on? Lights? Radio?
Heater? Girlfriend?

When you tried to start it, did all the warning lights on the instrument cluster come on as normal?

Did you check all the fuses? Spin them to remove oxidization?

It sounds like the charge was marginal and finally fell too low to work.

It almost has to be the alternator. For it to charge there must be present three obvious things and some not-so-obvious. FIRST Be sure that the smaller red wire that connects on the back of the alternator to a spade lug has a good connection. Look at its insulation, too. Is it crumbling off?

SECOND Be sure that the ground wire that goes from one of the nuts on the alternator frame to one of the mounting bolts on the block is good. The alternator is mounted on rubber bushings and must be well-grounded to the block for the system to charge.

THIRD check the brushes. The brush plate must be removed for this. It can be done on the car with the belts still tight. Disconnect the battery ground terminal first. IF the brushes are below 5mm long, replace them.
