If you 940T is anything like my 95 944T or 87 745T pushing it hard and keeping the turbos spinning out high levels of boost really transforms them into gas hogs. I drop from around 22- 24 MPG on the highway to 15 or less depending on how fast and hard I push it. Back when Montana dropped it's day time speed limit I ran my 944T close to 110 plus from the south western border to Butte and you could almost see the gas needle drop. Any speed over 80MPH tends to cause my Turbos to gobble gas ... tickets really add to the expense ... safety is also a concern ... so I rarely push them beyond 80 these days.
