I recommend that both you AND your lawyer attempt to re-create the explosion to see if it raelly can happen. Borrow an oxyacetylene torch & tanks from a plumber who owes the lawyer big bucks, and just open the valves with the torch nozzle stuck under the hood. Drive around a while and see what happens.
