Re: overdrive

The only negatives I've heard about this setup are:

1. You never want to accidentally leave it in OD when shifting into reverse.

2. The increased torque in the lower gears "could" be hard on the OD unit when it's in OD.

I had this setup on my 1966 Jeep pickup, and it was kind of cool because it gave me some "in-between" ratios to work with. (ie. going up a grade where 3rd gear was a bit of a strain, I could go into 2nd w/OD on.)
