check engine light?! 1990

i have a 1990 240 that keeps triping the check engine light, i did a diagnostic it reads fault in fuel injectors so i had them cleaned and it still reading injector fault i tested them with a multimeter and they seem to be working properly. does anyone know what would cause this besides the fuel injectors? i need some help bad please help!
