Throttle Body Questions (again:)

Have a quick qustion: Throttle body appeared clean when I removed air intake hose on my 89 740GL(cleaned with carb cleaner anyway), but I've been told I should remove the whole thing and clean it and that this will help my low idle...how do I do this with out screwing up. The FAQ is just not specific enough...any adjustments I should do? Thanks, sorry to bug all of you with the same questions, I'm just oh-so cautious with my brick.
