Pat: been there, done that, a real PITA. Used a knife with a VERY sharp point, held open the cassette flap with left hand, half laying across the front seats in order to see into said flap; could barely see the top edge of the cassette, but there was enough 'meat' to be able to shove the knife into the cassette and pry it up; knife was sharp enough, and stuck into cassette case far enough (you'll understand the rage after you've been trying this for several uncomfortable minutes), to be able to lift the cassette up and OUT. Now looking into getting a CD-AM-FM replacement unit. I found that the tapes came out of their 'home' VERY warm, which might be a contributing factor to the mechanism's demise/malfunctioning. Good Luck. (all disclaimers apply).--PD.
