I can understand not using antisieze on titanium plated threads. The titanum plating should eliminate any seizing. Although this is a Volvo maintenance forum, I must add that I have installed hundreds of aircraft spark plugs. Standard procedure is to use antisieze on the threads, but no antisieze on the first two threads. I torque the plugs to manufacturer's spec. The plugs alway come out, and I have never pulled a thread. I am told by those aircraft mechanics with much more experience than me that the plugs will sieze in these hot running aircraft engines without the anitsieze. I will continue to use a small amount of antisieze on all but the first two threads of all spark plugs, and to torque the plugs.
