/// Repairing the radio is a process of elimination as is car repair. Is there noise or static as you turn the volume control? Can you return the sound on a bump? It could be any thing from the fader control, volume control, broken PC board in the radio, loose or corroded power, output to second amplifier, and on and on. Start by using another antenna.
Eliminate the possibilities until you find the problem. Un plug and check the power especially to a second amp. Check the audio to that amp. If the speakers are the problem only one would be affected. Is FM beter than AM? Suspect the antenna. Repost when you have more observations.
