Hello all - I have my lovely 745 with the B230F and AW71 W/lockup. anyhow, 265,000 miles on the clock and I am expieriencing a weird problem. The first symptom is under hard or medium hard acceleration the car will just (like a switch) lose power. At times it will go good till 4000 rpm, then kinda die off - the engine still runs smooth like it always does, it just feels restricted or whatever. it will do it diffrent at diffrent times. There will be times when the engine is not to full operation temp and off idle it will give me a kick, then turn real soggy. just like a dog, then once i get going it will kick back in. I have also noticed that the MPG has really dropped. I know that it is winter, and the gas here in MN is the reformulated stuff, but I was getting 20-25 MPG all the time and now the last 2 tanks have been 17 or so.

I also noticed that after a long drive and I got home, the car's exhaust while idling was really stinky - like rich exhaust...

What do i look for now? I don't want to burn out the catalytic converter (which by the way is only about a year old)
