I've read all the messages in this thread, and will just say that you can't generelaise about any car the way you did. Alos luxury doesn't necessarily mean trouble free (there are more things to go wrong on a luxury car). Not all 740's have all the problems listed on the web site, these may be common problems but it doesn't mean that every car has them, or even most. If you want to generalise then all toyotas have problems with their automatic transmisions so you shouldn't want one of them either. As I am sure you know toyotas are pretty good cars, and so are volvos, having driven both (my aunt had a camry) I can say that it is obvious where the extra money was spent, the volvo feels much more solid, and stable, it rides better..., but that is just my opion and that is why I have a volvo. I hope that you enjoy your's for however long you have it, and that you enjoy whatevcer you replace it with too. Have fun.
