Re: turbo's

Hi,

In an ideal situation if you wanted to buy a 240 turbo intercooled, here are a couple of things I would look for:

(1) Records that the oil has been changed on time. Its really important to change the oil on time with a turbo car.

(2) As few miles as possible, or at least some replaced parts, turbo, head, waterpump, pre-pump, etc.

(3) No blue smoke blowing out the tailpipe, also no oil slopped on the engine from leaks, pretty obvious.

(4) I personally would like to buy one from Grandma who didn't get on it much, but if you are going to buy from a friend there is always guilt to fall back on...

(5) Coming from my own experience, make sure it runs stock boost, if not ask why.

Good luck,

Will
