Hi there
Well, the answer to your question is yes. However I would prefer one of Volvo's fine turbo engines. If you don't like the lag, I suggest an LPT (low pressure turbo) engine from a late 940T. This way you get more power and torque without too much lag.
Remember the reason for not using a supercharger is the fact that it's crank driven which means it takes power to drive it. Therefore it's not as efficient as a turbocharger. However there is a significant downside with turbo's as well. This is the lag, but by choosing a small turbo and retaining a reasonably high compression ratio you can keep this lag at minimum. I know you know this, I wrote it anyway maybe someone will find it useful.
anyway if you have your mind set on a supercharger you should think about what other modifications you will need. first of all you will have to make room for it somewhere on the side of the engine. You will have to lower your CR. Your fuel pump will probably need replacement too. If you want to run high boost, you will need water injection or an intercooler or both. You get these parts from a B21FT, B23FT or B230FT. As I've already said I would get the turbo as well, but if you want a supercharger you should definitely go for it.
