Re: Throttle body removal question 700 1987

The only ball-and-socket joints at the TB I have seen have small locking tabs at the extreme bottom and tops of the sockets. Prying these up with a small screwdriver unlocks the socket from the ball and allows it to be pulled off. Cleaning the area first, to remove grease and dirt, helps you to see the arrangement. Yours could be friction fit, but look real hard to make sure.
