Interesting - Where was the car originally sold? What engine management system does it utilize? I'm wondering if you could replace the 2.0 with a B230 (2.3 liter). In the end it could be a less troublesome and more reliable conversion. I understand in some countries though, this could lead to a significant increase in road tax......if the authorities found out, that is....

Increasing the low-end torque on a small engine like that may be quite a bit more challenging than increasing the top end. Is it an auto transmission or an "oldtimer"?
