Volvo redblock engines (what your car has) used port injection, not throttle body injection.

The electric pump is not a better idea. It is the only idea.

As pointed out elsewhere in this thread your car has LH 2.2 injection (based on the model year and the presence of the mass airflow sensor in the picture you provided) so you need the pump for that system.

Also as pointed out elsewhere in this thread, Bosch is the original equipment pump for your car and it is highly recommended that you stick with it.

So, the three pumps you cite are all correct for your car.

The Bosch pump at IPD is fairly reasonable in price.

The genuine Volvo pump at IPD costs over $100 more than the Bosch pump but it is the same pump. So, really, you're paying $100 for a blue box with the Volvo name on it.

The Bosch pump at FCP Euro seems to be the bargain. But I would check with them to make sure the check valve ships with the pump.
