Thanks.
I'm wondering if an ultrasonic cleaning, which my school might have in its auto shop, would be a good compromise in the interim? I remove the injectors from my 1988 240 DL N/A that has about 300k miles and pressurized carburetor cleaner to spray through the injectors to get a nice spray pattern. I then changed the o-rings. Idle is better, but not quite smooth.
Also, I can't find the link, but the 240s had three series of fuel injectors, all having different flows, from 16 to 19 to 20 lbs/hr (168-214 cc/min).
