Fuel line connetion to the gas tank (PV544) 444-544

Perfect Eric.. Thank you as always for your knowledge and expertise. The tube nut came loose.

As you may recall, this car was in the hot/humid climate of Hawaii for many years, so, I'm thinking that I may have rust in the tank. The car has abruptly stopped running a couple times, and there was a fine powder in the carb float bowls which I removed with a magnet. Also the filter had plenty of that stuff. I changed the filter and it still stopped but has always restarted after a few attempts.

I have drained the tank, and at first glance through the sender hole, it doesen't appear rusty, but that is just looking at the bottom of the tank.

I have planned to do the POR 15 routine to clean and coat it.

Do you have any more thoughts on all this?

Thanks
Bob
