O2 sensor Reading all zeros can't seem to find the cure S90-V90

All zeros on the rear sensor does not trip my check engine light.

I did not notice this until I have a misfire code due to a failed coil pack. We cleared the code and because I had an emissions test due, we checked the readiness and noticed that the rear sensor was all zeros. I replaced the pair of sensors and it was a bear of a job because the threads galled on the front one and we had to torch it for every turn back out. The special sensor socket spread open, just a pain. Then we had to tap the hole and fortunately we were able to save it without welding on a bung. Turns out it was a wasted time and money job as the new sensor did the same thing- all zeros.

I was out running the elaborate monitor-clearing cycle (for the third time) and the car smelled like tranny fluid. up on the lift and I had a blown line- it had rotted out above the cat. I was lucky it did not catch on fire. I have JUST bought a spare engine and trans for $50 and used the line from that. It already does not owe me any money! The reason I mention this is the down pipe had to come out to do this job, so I would have been wrestling with and replacing sensors anyway.
