Effect of heavier/larger wheels 1800S?

One of the best/most comprehensive tests I've seen - http://www.caranddriver.com/features/effects-of-upsized-wheels-and-tires-tested

I keep a close eye on this on my vehicles. Extra weight takes more force to accelerate and stop AND works the spring/damper package harder. I recently went from an OEM 37.5 lb 16" combo on a Honda Fit down to 23.2 lbs in a 14" combo. Picked up a solid 3 mpg on highway and around town. And felt like I'd bolted on a set of Konis as the stock dampers had a MUCH easier time of controlling motion. You could feel the quicker acceleration. If you have to have the look of the 16's - go for it. Just know you'll pay a price. Not as if the 1800's are particularly quick in stock form.
