240 Exhaust header pipe removal 200 1989

hi swede bak- thats a very good picture. would add 3 things. soak rusted studs for a day or so with pb blast. heating the nuts with a bernzomatic may be helpful too. use a tight 6 point socket on the nuts. also may be better to use a small electric impact gun on the end of the extension to bump the nuts lose rather than strong arm the breaker bar. in the event you break a stud, hope the studs are through bolts instead of fixed to the exhaust flange. you dont want to remove the manifold unless you have to . just my 2 cents. btw this kind of a job is likely to result in a few f bombs. regards oldduke
