Scott,
The Parallel flow condenser started to be used in 91', however it is different than the one in the 93' model year. Why? Because in 93' Volvo moved from R12 to R134a.
If you are converting your car to run on 134a, then use the 93' condenser as it was designed to work with R134a, if not, then use the condenser form 91-92 as they were designed to run on R12.
The threads on all three of these years are the same AND they are different from your year model, so you will need to have hoses made up to make it work.
Another route, though not for the faint of heart is to completely remove your entire A/C system and replace with one from a 91, 92, or 93 system and making sure that you use the condenser from the 93 so that you are running all R134a compatible parts.
I'm slowly, and I do mean slowly collecting parts as these cars are becoming harder and harder to find in the PNP, to convert my sons 90' over to R134a using all the right parts. it is alot of work, but it will be worth it in the end.
Good luck,
Matt
