That's the filter I used, have used for many yrs. No, didn't check the level before starting; figured oil has to go through the filter first. Probably would be about where it is now. Can't help suspect oil is not getting into the filter, but don't know why. Bought from meticulous PO. BTW coolant level unchanged.
