Powder coating fail

This shop specializes in wheel straightening and restoration (that's all they do, in addition to selling them), however they said that they normally don't deal with steel rims, only alloys and such.

I don't know how many coats they used but it looks like either a thin one or uneven in spots. They also said that they apply a clear-coat to them which I assumed would offer even greater protection.

One would assume that they blasted and cleaned off the entire surface before coating.

It was a silver coat. I wanted the rims to look stock.

Ironically, they do sell this same type of rim, although I don't know if they coated it or not. I'm going to take them back to this place and ask them to either redo all four rims with a minimum of three coats, or give me four of the same type of rims they are supposed to have in stock. A third choice is to completely refund my money. Their choice determines what kind of online review I give them.

Great website, BTW. I'm also a brick and kitty lover!
