NEED HELP ASAP WITH BRAKE LIGHTS OUT ISSUE

Somewhere in the brake light system there's a "dead" short - that is - a wire that carries 12 volts to the bulbs is touching some part of the body. The system starts at the brake light switch on the pedal assembly and ends at the bulbs. For whatever it's worth - I did have such a problem with my 1980 245 and found the wire harness to the rear had dropped down between the spare tire and the body and had rubbed one wire bare. -- Dave
