I replaced my pump (Regina) almost 2 years ago and from what I recall, the assembly gets compressed against the bottom of the tank when you put it back in aligned correctly. From that, it would appear that the amount of pressure to compress the assembly is not critical, so long as it compresses. At least that's how I see it.
