So, seller seems desperate. After deciding she wanted a second opinion mechanic wise when I told her the crank could be the problem, she contacted me back saying she just wanted it gone.
So car stalls at an intersection and will not restart but will crank. Ran perfectly until it stalled. Main culprits:
Fuel Pump Relay
CPR
Power Stage
Broken T-belt
Fuses
and?
1993 will have the same as my 1990 for all these parts except the fuse configuration. Fuse 6 really IS the fuel pump fuse on this one? This car also likely has the battery post fuse box?
Hoping I can do an in-driveway diagnosis instead of towing as it is about 40 miles. Power stage and Fuel pump relay as well as fuses are a piece of cake (unless big battery post fuses really are there and bad). Timing belt means a tow. CPR means a tow unless jiggling it can get it back to functioning.
Taking my 1/4" socket set, a t-25, 4-way screw driver and a jumpstart kit as well as a cheap multimeter. Suggestions on anything else? Have to look at it on the way to my company Christmas party or I would take all my tools and even be willing to try the CPS swap if I had a spare.
Jeeze! I really did not want another sedan.
