Yes, how is it that you purchase a car but the Manufacturer holds some things in their hands?

There are cars out there that will not allow the owner or an Indie to change the oil without paying them $50 to reset the oil change light.
The Check Engine/ Emmisions light is being abused by Manufacturers.
It was intended to be responsible for indicating Bad Emmission components, not any more.
Lets get rid of the Tire Pressure thing too. The devises are expensive and very breakable. Give responsibility back to the driver.
