Restoring Virginia - Replacing Front Engine Mounts... 120-130 1967

Pooch,

Can I jump in here George? I just did this with a 220. Without going through too much of a rig-a-morole, as George says you have to support the rear of the transmission. You then carefully remove the four bolts holding the crossmember holding up the transmission- but prio to that you might want to remove the nut holding the mount to the crossmember. Once the crossmember is removed, it is not too difficult to remove the upper mount nut and replace the mount.

Now for the controversy - I use anti-seize grease on danged near everything. I figure if my boys are going to inherit my cars, they might have to remove nuts and bolts sometime in the future...

Great jo - keep us abreast!

Kent
