Cleaning of engine/turbo oil passages

G'day mates ..
I know that it is almost cardinal rule that no additives be used on bricks ..

BUT ..

I wonder if things might have changed a bit in some folks thinking ..

The 94 940 now has 319K on it, and is still running strong ..just recently getting 24.8 mpg on a long trip.

It still has the original turbo though ..and I keep having nightmares about closed up oil passages. Also from time to time when she gets good and warm ..the smell of burnt oil seems to waft from under her bonnet.

I do not want to tear her down. Any ideas ..or just leave well enough alone ??

Thanks
