The thermostat I ordered is 273164 189 F (82 C) but perhaps another temp option?
I do remember my old '73 145 thermostat didn't open fully.

How would I incorporate a noncontact thermometer?

Does the dangly thing on thermostat go front or back?

How can I remove/rebuild gauge? Do I have to pull entire instrument cluster? If so, how do you get it around dash pad?

I could also swap out other 122 gauge.
