240 no start after clutch replacement 1983

i just spent two nights and an entire sunday replacing the clutch and now it won't start. the engine turns over but doesn't fire. there is fuel to the engine. there is spark at the coil and all 4 plugs. tried starting with fluid, sounded like it was trying, then just cranked. help?
