What is it that causes the lights to go on but not start? I notice it happens when I hesitate, turn the key in the on position and leave it there for a minute. I've noticed it on hot days, when the engine's beens sitting in the sun. I've noticed it only after the ignition switch has been replaced. My mechanic had it for a week and it didn't find any starting issues. It does need a gasket replaced in a hard to find place that is noisy on starting until it warms up, and new struts. Should I just get a new car?

Thanx in advance
