Hi,
Thanks for the input. I should have mentioned, yes, I did get a check-engine light on the dash, which prompted me to pull the code. Agree, 1-1-3 is pretty vague to begin with.
I have since pulled the fuel pump relay and reflowed solder; put my hand on it during operation, seems to check out fine.
Took the car to the trusty mechanic. On the way in, had horrible cold start (had to hold pedal down to keep from stalling), and then surging on highway when warm.
He checked the fuel pressure regulator, thinks it's okay. Also feels that if it was O2, position, or crank sensor, he'd see different codes. His feeling is, like in Chris' case (post below), it's the MAF. Suggests swapping it and seeing what happens, while hanging on to the old one.
I see rebuilt MAFs from "Programa" on line for about $170. Anyone have experience with rebuilt MAFs? I think an MAF from the scrap yard would be a total crapshoot.
Thanks
-Greg
