960 Cyclinder not firing 900 1994

I was siting at a light when my car started running rough. I went home and started troubleshooting. I found cylinder 5 not firing. After checking this and that I determined it was no spark at that cylinder. I swapped the ignition modules and the trouble moved to cylinder to number 2. Has anyone ever heard of one part of the ignition module failing? I have rechecked the wiring just in case. I don't want to spend a hundred bucks only to find it ain't the problem...
