Differences in cooling hose quality? 120-130

Hello,

Up until recently, we had been using, almost exclusively, coolant hoses from Volvo.

But lately Volvo has been buying from a different supplier and some of the hoses are no longer desirable or even usable.

For example, the lower radiator hoses Volvo now supplies for the later B18 and its longer version for the B20 1800/140 is malformed and will not fit over the the lower radiator hose outlet.

So we have to use an aftermarket supplier for some of the hoses.

And so far, we have not experienced any problems with the aftermarket hoses.

There is a small manufacturer of silicone hoses in Great Britain that I have had some experience.

I found him on ebay because he was selling a complete set of molded hoses for the 1963 Lancia Flavia Zagato for which we were working on at the time.

He offered to make hoses for Volvos and I believe I saw him offering the early upper/lower radiator hoses made out of silicone that are used with early B18.
