D-Jet Puzzle, 142E 140-160

George,

The pushrods are coming up fine - that's a relief. :-) So, I did the injectors on the newspaper thing you suggested, and you were right, they are all spraying nicely. That robs me of any excuse to dump the D-jet and go for SUs.

I swapped in a new spark plug, and that didn't make any difference.

I, again, first pulled all the plug wires, one at a time, and the only one that did not slow down the idle was on #1. Then I did the same thing with the injector plugs, and got the same result.

With the D-jet system exculpated, the only other thing I can think of at the moment is that some of the mouse nest debris got into the #1 intake manifold lead and is blocking it. My next move is to take off the manifold to see what is going on, if anything.

I'll keep y'all posted.
