I may be the only one who makes a post here on this subject, but I am curious to know if anyone else skips the small things and replaces the bigger and more expensive stuff - only to find out that it was the small in-expensive fix to start with.
You should hear the wife over my shoulder ...:)
Her 94 940 w/ 280k would occasionally die. I replaced the fuel filter and check valve; then the in tank pump and FPR. Thought that did it ...till it died on me twice in one evening.
Finally pulled the relay - soldered it - no more probs.
Don't laugh.
I did the same type thing with my Ford pickup ...even though it was a bit more complicated. :(
