1997 960 door alignment help?

Can anyone point me to notes or info on installing a replacement door?

The rear passenger door was wrecked. Luckily I found a replacement with the same paint and trim. The problem is aligning the door to close and align properly.
the hinges we slightly bent when the old door was wrecked, but that doesnt seem to be the issue.

is there a trick to installing the new door so it works as well as the old one?
