Battery Drain, Pulling Fuses Doesn't Stop It

Howdy,

On the Mitchell's drawing, the '91-'92 models are shown with the cooling fan relay connected directly to the battery. Try pulling that relay first.

Did you also pull the fuses from the fuse box under the hood? If no, go ahead and pull those one at a time to see if the current drain stops. If yes, the problem has to be in the charging circuit. Disconnect the big wire on the back of the alternator. Did the current drain stop? If no, there has to be a short to ground on the wire between the battery and the alternator. If yes, reconnect the big wire and remove the small wire. Did the drain stop? If no, the alternator is bad. If yes, there is a short on the charge indicator circuit.
