Greg,

I 100% must disagree with you on this one when it comes to jack stands. Blocks of wood can slide against one another... once motion starts, its all over. Yes, ramps are suicide in my opinion, just like cheap chinese bottle jacks and jack stands!

Below is a pic of what I did with our 92 245 to get the trans in and out, and I can assure you there wasn't a single wiggle or even a shimmy! As safe as could be possible without a true lift!
