Strange sound when engine is shut off S90-V90

I have a '98 S90 that is running very well. I just noticed a strange noise that occurs intermittently when the engine is shut off. The nearest I can describe is a sound similar to when a standard transmission is 'geared down' say from 5th to 4th, etc. The sound lasts about 5 to 10 seconds.

Doesn't happen everytime the engine is shut off.
