I make stuff for NASA: Soldering of wire connections is discouraged, for a number of reasons.
1) you don't know how to do it.
2) it makes the wires brittle.
3) crimping is MUCH more consistent.

I've replaced ~5-6 O2 sensors with cheap 3-wire Bosch.
Never a problem.
