OK to use fuel stabilizer (Sta-Bil) in plastic tank?

Well last week my Dad gave me his old car, a '98 Contour. It's leaking power steering fluid, but I'm going to have a mechanic friend take a look at it this weekend. Anyway, the Contour seems to drive pretty good, so I plan to drive it over the winter and probably get rid of it next year sometime, before other major problems start happening. I have to sell the '86 Grand Prix now too. So now I'll be parking the 740 in my neighbour's garage over the winter and that will give me the opportunity to do even more stuff on it. I'm in the process of changing the coolant to Volvo stuff, already changed oil to synthetic, am changing ATF to Amsoil synthetic, etc.

I have stored cars before without problems, but I'm wondering if it's ok to use Sta-Bil in the Volvo, with the plastic fuel tank.
