Maybe I am missing something?

When the car is in the no start mode the tach will not move when cranking. No spark at plugs, no spark at coil. When key is on and leads are in place on the coil I get 12v from each lead.

I assume the hall sensor is bad in the distributor. I have a distributor from a parts car that I replace the seal and Orings on before installing it on the car.

It now starts, runs, drives fine. I was not suggesting the seal and Orings were the problem, just that I had replaced them before installing the distributor on the car.
