Hiya 'Fixit'
Thankyou for your your response, apparently my old (1988 740 GLE)dose not have a computer as such, though I have passed your valued post on to my mechanic friend and will hope for the best. 'Uncle Olaf' who has also been very kind suggested I post on the 200 Forum (which I have done), due to the fact that it is a Bosch K Jetronic Fuel Injection system, I live in hope. Once again thankyou and any other suggestions would be welcome.I am also new to this Forum and appreciate everyones help and patience with anovice such as myself.
